Usability issues with multi-column form layouts
Here’s an interesting eye tracking study done on web page forms that have multiple columns of form fields. The conclusion is that people found multi-column layouts more confusing than a single column ones (with a few small exceptions).
Using multi column forms in Enrich is a request I hear sometimes because some feel that there’s too much white space on screens. This study makes a good argument that we should avoid doing so.
